About
Hi there. I’m Richard, a 20 year old student currently attending UC Berkeley. I am doing a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and Molecular Cell Biology (MCB). After graduation, I plant to attend medical school.
This site originally started as a way for me to practice my writing; my technical courses did not give many such opportunities. It gradually evolved into an angsty excuse for teenage ramblings. Such days are long past. In its current state, this blog is a collection of my thoughts on politics, romance, art, society, and technology from a politically centrist viewpoint.
Most blogs become popular because they focus on a single subject matter and slowly accumulate a dedicated – and I would say fanatical – following. The eclectic nature of this site doesn’t let me do that; my readers never know if I’m going to write about indie musicians, the latest game, elections in Kenya, income inequality, or a neat PHP trick. And really, I don’t care much for online popularity and hits per day. I think that the variety is what gives this blog its special flavour and allows me to genuinely share my thoughts and experiences in life with others.
